Pono Fuiava breaks school record — by a HUGE margine

Bremerton, WA — Congratulations to Ho'oponokau'ilani Larissa Pa’aga Fuiava, who demolished the Olympic College Women’s Track & Field school record in the discus, throwing 149' 1" at the meet held at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, April 9, 2022.

The previous record holder for Olympic College was Kaitlyn Paller, who threw 130' 2" in 2019.

Pono hails from the villages of Nu’uuli and Aunu’u and she attends Olympic College in Bremerton, WA. Her parents are Mele Pa’aga Fuiava and Fogatiamaali’i Situe Fuiava, Jr.
