Woman charged for stealing over $42,000 from her employer

Apia, SAMOA —  A woman has been arrested and charged in connection to the theft of more than $40,000 from her former employer, Chan Mow Company. 

According to the Ministry of Police, the 45-year-old is facing charges of theft as a servant.

She was arrested but was remanded on bail with the condition to sign in at the Faleata Police station every Friday. 

The former Chan Mow employee is alleged to have removed monies from the company between August 2017 and July 2018 in the amount of $42,180.
