Bolting pig breaks woman’s leg

Apia, SAMOA — A woman is hobbling on a fractured leg she suffered when a bolting pig bowled her over on Monday at Safune, Savai’i.

Pora Mathew was walking along in a group when the speeding pig burst straight at her.

“We were on our way to the store and out of nowhere a huge pig burst straight at me, I had no idea where it came from and it was very frightening,” Mathew said.

The flying animal rammed her off her feet and it was only after her friends helped her back up did she realized that her leg injury was serious.
