Sons of Samoa complete advanced training and earn promotions

SGM Joshua Kazaka (Tafuna); SGM Paul Tuimavave (Futiga); SGM Pete Leao (Afao ); SGM Fale Tualamalii (Vailima, Upolu & Nuuuli); and SGM Amasaia Pousima (Afonotele).

El Paso, TEXAS — Congratulations to these sons of American Samoa who graduated from the United States Sergeant Major Academy (USASMA) - SGM Joshua Kazaka (Tafuna); SGM Paul Tuimavave (Futiga); SGM Pete Leao (Afao ); SGM Fale Tualamalii (Vailima, Upolu & Nuuuli); and SGM Amasaia Pousima (Afonotele).

The graduation ceremony was held June 21, 2019 in El Paso Texas.

Samu Sione Jr graduated from the Drill Sergeant Academy in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The 33-year-old from Masefau, is the son of Samu and Faatulia Sione. 

He and his wife Melinda have three boys and are currently stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.
