ASBA names Coach of the Year and MVP

The American Samoa Basketball Association is proud to acknowledge the Coach of the Year and Most Valuable Player for the boys and girls basketball during the American Samoa High School Athletic Association (ASHSAA) 2017 season.

Those who were awarded for the boys’ basketball, Coaches of the year were Wayne Ames and Carl Schuster of Samoana High School with their MVP players Faletua Utuao and Ueligitone Tualaulelei.

For the girls’ basketball season, coaches of the year were Margaritta Viena of MBA and Diehl Langkilde of Faasao Marist with the MVP players Raquel Mamea of MBA and Ailani Talapu of Tafuna High School.
