And, good news continues in the local nursing profession — Governor Pulaalii Nikolao Pula has expressed confidence in the newly revived American Samoa Nurses Association (ASNA) after meeting with representatives to recognize their recent revival and ongoing contributions to healthcare in the territory. After several years of inactivity, the ASNA is now officially reactivated.
The meeting also served as a lead-up to National Nurses Week, which will be observed from May 4-10, 2025. This year, the American Nurses Association (ANA) has chosen "The Power of Nurses" as the official theme, celebrating the strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment of nurses across the nation.
