Last Friday, Apr. 26, 2024, the annual Ms SOFIAS pageant was held at the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium, with Contestant #5 Miss Uni Daniels capturing the crown.
The categories of Best Lady SOFIAS, Best Swimsuit, Best Talent, Best Evening Gown and Best Q&A were won by Miss Uni; while First Runner Up was won by #6 Miss Wendy and # 4 Miss Neesha took Second Runner Up.
The event also allowed the two fafafine societies of Samoa and American Samoa opportunities during the week to further their relationship to achieve their goals successfully.
SOFIAS hosted their sisters from Samoa (Samoa Faafafine Association- SFA) who came over for the SOFIAS 40th Pageant, last Saturday evening, at a traditional “aiava”, at the Bowling Sports Bar in Tafuna.
An “aiava” is a farewell party, when guests and visitors leave, thrown by the hosting village, where traditional gifts are presented.
