Fiji's Lau Group dancers photo & caption

These two beautiful ladies are from the Lau Group of islands in Eastern Fiji, which is the area most heavily influenced by the Tongan culture. This is evident in their Polynesian features, their costumes and the way they dance. They took part in the Fiji Day festivities at the field in front of the Veterans Memorial Monument and Center this past Saturday, celebrating Fiji Independence Day. [photo: Asi A. Fa'asau]
