Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) participants assigned to DMWR, along with the department’s Enforcement Team as they went for a hike and swim at the Fagatele Bay — site of the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa. “While soaking up the sun, they also got to soak up knowledge of our protected marine resources, the benefits of a healthy reef and its diverse ecosystems.  The best classroom is not within 4 walls and a roof, but out in the field.
