FHS Alumni donate monument and time capsule to their almamater

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Among the projects the Faasao High School Alumni completed to commemorate 50 years of the high school in American Samoa through the Catholic Education system, was a new monument and school sign. It was dedicated and blessed to commemorate the anniversary on Wednesday, July 20, 2023.

According to a press release from the FHSSA Media Committee, “The monument bears the names of more than 60 Benefactors who generously donated as Platinum, Gold or Silver donors generating almost $100,000 in funds to support our school improvement project.”

The monument and sign also hold a time capsule comprising a personal message to a loved one from members of each of the classes celebrating the high school’s 50th Anniversary . The time capsule was sealed within the monument and sign and will be opened in 2073 — at the 100th Anniversary of Fa’asao High School.
