Introducing the new Miss American Samoa 2023-24

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Miss American Samoa Inc. pageant has crowned Ms. Judy Fa’afetai Tauanu’u, contestant #3, as the new Miss American Samoa 2023 - 2024. 

The pageant, held on Friday, June 9, 2023, showcased beautiful Traditional Inspired Wear, sarongs adorning the contestants, and also displayed each of the contender’s talents. 

For reference, our lovely competitors for that night were Ms. Kiahna Feagaiga Safuiono Siufanua, contestant #1 and was sponsored by Miss Lila’s Floral Shop. Contestant #2 sponsored and endorsed by Le Laga’ali Couture and was Ms. Nelda Mareko. 

Ms. Judy Fa’afetai Tauanu’u was contestant #3 and was sponsored by Fa’atamali’i productions and contestant #4 was Ms. Tatiana Tiare Tausala Tupua, sponsored by I.C.S and family and friends. 

Here are our special awards, category awards, and standings from the night of the competition. 

For the special awards category, Best Ava Presentation, Best Siva Samoa, Best Pre-Pageant Interview,  Best Personality and Miss Photogenic was won by Contestant #3, Miss Judy Tauanu’u. 

The MASI Award was won by Contestant #4, Miss Tatiana Tupua. 

For the main categories, Best Sarong, Best Talent, and Best Traditional Wear were all won by Contestant #4, Miss Tatiana Tupua. Best Traditional Wear went to Contestant #2 Miss Nelda Mareko. 

And for the placings and winner, Contestant #2 Nelda Mareko came in at third runner up. Contestant #1 Kiahna Siufanua placed as the second runner up, and our first runner up was given to Contestant #4 Miss Tatiana Tupua with Contestant #3, Judy Tauanu’u being crowned as the new Miss American Samoa 2023 - 2024.
