The community rallied Wednesday in front of the Tauese P. Sunia Ocean Center where the NOAA public meeting was held to collect comments on the proposed expansion of the Pacific Remote Island Area (PRIA) marine sanctuary. StarKist Samoa workers were joined by other concerned residents and members of the fishing community. The Lt. Governor, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and the DMWR director were seen in the crowd that was calling to save jobs and the local economy. [photo: L. Poasa]
