Swains Island 98th Anniversary Celebrated photo & caption

The raising of the colors on May 13 marked the 98th anniversary commemorating the relationship between the US, Am Samoa and Swains Island and the first time it was declared a territory-wide holiday. Attended by Gov. Lemanu P. S. Mauga, First Lady Ella, the Am Samoa delegation, and the Swains Island delegation, which included Faipule Su’a Alexander Jennings the Swains Island House Representative, the ceremony on Swains was followed with a Flag Day Reception hosted by the Governor.
