Masking up against measles photo & caption

Department of Health’s Maintenance/ Security team stopped every vehicle heading into the Tafuna Health Center on Thurs, April 20, to give out face masks, a day after DOH confirmed a case of measles in American Samoa. The case, an 8-year-old student attending Kanana Fou Elementary, prompted closures of all daycare centers and the private school. DOH is encouraging parents to check their children’s measles vaccination and call thei 219 hotline for information.  [photo: faaTalanoa Media]
