Measles outbreak in the territory — photo & caption

DHSS director Muavaefa’atasi John Suisala advised local media that DOH director Motusa Tuileama Nua has confirmed that a positive case of measles has been identified in the community and to contain the outbreak and prevent spread of the disease he has ordered the immediate close of all daycare facilities in Amerian Samoa.  Effective Apl 20, 2023 and until further notice, all daycare facilities are closed to all children.  Read story for more info.
