Deadline for businesses to submit Economic Census reports is today

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The 2022 Economic Census of American Samoa is underway, and the U.S. Census Bureau is reminding businesses through letters and e-mails of their obligation to report by the due date of March 15, 2023.

The Economic Census requests basic business statistics such as sales, payroll, employment, and other industry-specific information. All data collected are entirely confidential and will only be used for aggregate statistics about American Samoa's economy.

Businesses are encouraged to report electronically through the Census Bureau's secure portal, although paper forms are available for small businesses.

The Census Bureau is partnering with the American Samoa Department of Commerce-Statistics and Analysis Division to help businesses in meeting their requirement.
