Dr Abraham Leiato appointed to Workmen’s Comp Commission

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Governor Lemanu P. S. Mauga has appointed Dr. Abraham Leiato to the Workmen’s Compensation Commission, which has a mission to enhance the welfare and protect the rights of American Samoa workers by enforcing employment laws.

According to Lemanu the appointment of Dr Leiato is pursuant to A.S.C.A § 32.0505, as the Medical Officer of the Workmen’s Compensation Commission effective immediately. Dr. Leiato will be filling the position formerly held by Dr. Seakerise Tuato'o.

The governor urges the government’s full support and cooperation for this appointment. Dr Leiato currently works at the LBJ Hospital and also served in the US Army Medical Center in the past.
