Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — McDonald’s American Samoa is once again sponsoring scholarships for local college bound students who plan to either attend college off island or at the American Samoa Community College.
Since 2006, McDonald’s American Samoa has provided scholarship funding for students in the territory.
The application process was announced last week however no deadline for application has been announced.
There are two $4K scholarships for high school graduates attending ASCC and two $10K scholarships for ASCC graduates to attend an off island University.
Applying for a scholarship is a very competitive process.
Each applicant is required to have official GPA Minimum of 3.60 and an SAT score of at least 1,000; and they must undergo an extensive interview with members of the Scholarship Board.
McD’s president Agaoleatu Charlie Tautolo has said of students receiving their scholarships that they “… are our future, and we are proud to be able to help them in achieving their academic goals so they can return and serve our community.”
