Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Fa’avi Sefuluiva is facing criminal charges of burglary and property damage.
The defendant is being held on bail of $15,000 in relation to an incident that occurred in September this year.
According to the government’s case, Sefuluiva and four other men were involved. It’s unclear whether his co-defendants have been charged, as there is no record from the District Court.
It’s alleged that on Sept. 9, 2022 the defendant and other unknown individuals allegedly entered the compound garage of Viliamu Hollister and allegedly damaged up to eight vehicles by shattering several mirrors of different vehicles.
It’s further alleged the men stole a JBL boom box speaker from the vehicle that is estimated to be valued at around $900.
“Investigations further disclosed that after estimating all damages that were done to the vehicles, costs were roughly around $62,990.
“One of the witnesses lived near the scene of the incident, at an apartment complex a few feet away from the scene [had a] clear view of the incident.”
“The witness stated that she was able to identify one of the co-defendants.”
