Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Three men were arrested on Monday afternoon in relation to an armed drug raid by the DPS Vice and Narcotics Unit when they executed a search warrant on a home at Mesepa. Drugs were uncovered, such as methamphetamine (meth) or ‘ice’, as well as drug paraphernalia and cash.
Also confiscated by the police were tubes used to make glass pipes to smoke meth, said a Senior Police Officer, who is not allowed to speak to the media.
Samoa News reached out to Deputy Police Commissioner, Terry Letuli and Acting Commissioner Foifua Jr Foifua, but they did not respond to phone calls, as of press time.
However, a Senior Police Officer told Samoa News the men in question have been under surveillance for a while.
This is the second drug raid by the Vice and Narcotics Unit in the span of three weeks of this month, November.
On Veterans day, the unit executed a search warrant on a residence in Pago Pago and took in eight people. As reported earlier, police found drugs and drug paraphernalia during the Pago Pago raid, and a vehicle was also impounded.
