Senate ok's 6-week recess saving session days for budget review

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — To preserve legislative session days the Senate approved Thursday a Senate Resolution to adjourn for six weeks.

“The Legislature finds that in order to preserve legislative session days so that there is sufficient time to review the annual fiscal budget and properly review and dispense pending matters, resolves that it is appropriate to temporarily recess the business of the Legislature.”

The Senate and House shall be adjourned at the close of business on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 in each respective chamber to the opening of business in each respective chamber Monday Nov. 14, 2022.
