Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Jean P. Haydon Museum announced yesterday that it would host the 2022 Constitutional Convention Exhibit, opening on Aug. 31 from 12p.m. to 4p.m. A historic presentation of American Samoa's treasured documents and photos will be on display.
In addition to a commemorative program of guest speakers, and the unveiling of the commission painting by Talanoa Lagafuaina — the proposed amendments of the " 2022 Deliver the Constitution to the People," will be reviewed.
The exhibit will run through Sept. 30. And this “unique educational experience” is funded by the American Samoa Humanities Council, with a grant award received by the Friends of the Museum, according to a statement from the Council.
The 6th Constitutional Convention opens Monday at the Gov. Rex Lee Auditorium and runs through Sept. 02.
