Two from Haydon Museum attend UH and East-West Center workshops

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Reggie Meredith Fitiao demonstrates the art of Siapo during workshops that train Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders who work in museums and cultural heritage centers that launched this summer.

Also participating from American Samoa is museum curator Erika Radewagen.

The four-week Institute, jointly hosted by the Department of American Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and the East-West Center, focuses on museum management, exhibition development, and collections care for institutions, professionals and communities that care for Oceanic collections.
