Honoring Teachers of Am Samoa — Thank you for your hard work

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Gov. Lemanu Peleti Mauga last Friday released his official Teacher Appreciation Week message, which was published in Samoa News as a paid Congratulatory & Celebration advertisement.

“These are challenging times, yet teachers have gone to incredible lengths to ensure young minds do not become stagnant but continue to flourish despite the pandemic’s impact on traditional schooling,” the governor said in his message.

“There could not be a more appropriate time to thank our teachers for their ingenuity, resilience, hard work, and persistence throughout this year,” he added.

Education director Talauega Dr. Samasoni Asaeli, in his Teacher Appreciation Week message, released earlier this week, thanked the teachers of American Samoa for their service to “the future of our country”, noting that “teaching is a noble and honorable profession because of your work and pledge to prepare the future generations of American Samoa.”
