Today’s HAL passengers who test negative will not be quarantined

Pago Pago Int'l airport

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The ASG Emergency Operations Center (EOC), made a last minute policy change to the flight operations for today’s inbound Hawaiian Airlines flight announcing there will be no supervised quarantine period for today’s arriving passengers who test negative for COVID.

The new practice for today will have all passengers tested at the airport; they will then go through the immigration and customs process. If testing negative the passenger will be cleared to go home and will operate under the latest Emergency Health Declaration.

"If you test positive, you will be placed in a mandatory 7 day isolation period at the Alternative Care Facility at the DOH Tafuna Family Health Center. Further instructions will be provided on testing. This measure is to ensure continued monitoring and control of new variants," the release said.

Families of inbound passengers, are asked that when picking up your members to please park in the designated parking area and remain in the vehicle until contacted by the traveler.

For the outbound flight there will be no parking and everyone is asked to drop all passengers off at designated areas and then move to exit the Airport.

The Airport mask policy will be strictly enforced.
