Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is welcoming a health grant for maternal and child health services.

This discretionary grant of $86,862 is for American Samoa Department of Health from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), a part of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department (HHS).

“Every dollar of federal support is helpful for these important services ensuring the health of our mothers and young children,” Amata said. “As always, special thanks to Margaret Sesepasara for her leadership of this care along with her efforts to qualify for grants, and congratulations to Health Director Motusa Nua.”
