COVID task force holds exercise today at airport

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The American Samoa COVID-19 Task Force will be conducting a Full Scale Exercise at the Pago Pago International Airport on Thursday, Aug. 26th. The exercise will promptly commence at 7:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM.

The purpose of this full scale exercise is to gauge the preparedness and readiness of the American Samoa Government (ASG) as it awaits the first regular Hawaiian Airlines flight that will arrive on Monday, Aug. 30th.

The public is urged not to be alarmed on this date as there will be DPS and EMS vehicles with their sirens on as well as other movements.
