American Samoa & Samoa are both at level one COVID-19 Low

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — American Samoa and Samoa, along with several world countries and territories, are listed under the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “Level 1: COVID-19 Low” status, according to the latest CDC travel notices published on the federal agency’s website (www.cdc.gov).

Under Level 1, CDC recommends that all travelers should wear a mask, avoid crowds, stay at least 6 feet from people who are not traveling with you, wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer, and watch your health for signs of illness.

Key information for travelers to American Samoa, according to CDC, “If you travel to American Samoa, get fully vaccinated before travel.”

Travel to Samoa, CDC recommends that travelers get fully vaccinated before travel. 

“Even fully vaccinated travelers are at risk for getting and spreading new COVID-19 variants,” said CDC. “All travelers should wear a mask, stay 6 feet from others, avoid crowds, and wash their hands.”

Other neighboring Pacific countries and territories under Level 1 are New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
