Three senators celebrate their birthdays and close of session

Three birthday cakes

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Birthday cakes were set-up last Friday on a table at the conference area of the Fono Fale Samoa, the temporary home for the Senate and its chamber.

The cakes were part of a Senate luncheon, to celebrate the birthdays of three senators this month, as well as the official closing of the First Regular Session of the 37th Legislature, also last Friday.

The birthday celebrations were for Senate President Tuaolo Manaia Fruean, now 76; Sen. Alo Paul Stevenson, 77, with two birthday cakes; and Sen. Satele Aliita’i Lilio, the youngest at the age of 70.

Family members of the three senators and others were also present for the luncheon-birthday bash.
