Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga and others breaking ground for new business building for G.H.C Reid & Company

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga led a small group ‘turning the soil’ this past Thursday morning during the ground breaking ceremony of the “Future Home of Ford Go Further, Samoa Motors” and  “Hyundai Pago Motors” at an empty lot at the government housing compound in Tafuna — across from Lions Park.

The location will have separate showrooms for Ford and Hyundai vehicles and will also improve customer services.

The dealerships are owned by the G.H.C Reid & Company Ltd., which has leased roughly 3 acres of land. The company’s board chair, Olivia Reid, took part in ceremony.

Construction of the building is expected to start in 2021.
