Samoana graduate promoted to Captain in U.S. Army

 Ma’umagasiva Jr Sou was promoted to Captain

Honolulu, HAWAII — Ma’umagasiva Jr Sou was promoted to Captain today, Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, in a ceremony in Hawaii. 

The Pago Pago native and graduate of Samoana High School is the son of the late Ma’umagasiva Sou of Savai’i, Samoa and Sauaso Amituana’i Sou of Pago Pago and the grandson of the late Leoitiiti Amituana’i of Nua and Se’etaga and Iloa Afe of Pago Pago; and the late Fa’amoe Sou of Lelepa, Savai’i and late Palafu Lofipo of Saleaula, Savai’i. 

The new Captain Sou is married to Krystal Tagomailelagi and they have a son, Asher and a daughter Aleina.

Congratulations from his whole family — including his 5 brothers and 3 sisters and his spiritual parents Pesaleli Poufa and Siaitolo Poufa who are now retired from CCCAS in Atu’u.
