HSS grant supports health care for mothers and young children

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Thursday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata welcomed a health grant for maternal and child health services.

This discretionary grant of $97,104 is for American Samoa Department of Health from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), which is part of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department (HHS).

 “Thank you especially to Margaret Sesepasara, a leader in these important efforts,” said Aumua Amata. “Congratulations to Health Director Motusa Nua. We appreciate this federal support for the health of mothers and young children.”
