Tattoo artists with roots in Tutuila & Manu’a represented American Samoa at the Tatau Tattoo Festival held last week in Samoa, where over 2,000 people passed through over a span of 3 days. A few are pictured here: Tanu (Utulei), Charles (Manu’a/Ili’ili), Tau (Manu’a/Atu’u), and Duffy (Manu’a/Petesa) with the American Samoa flag during the parade of nations that kicked off the festivities. Other locals on hand include organizer Whitey Chen. Read story on Monday. [photo: Blue Chen]
