12 to vie for Miss Pacific Islands crown

Mt Hagen, PNG — Papua New Guinea will host the Miss Pacific Islands pageant at the end of next month, Miss Pacific Islands Leoshina Kariha said this in Mt Hagen recently.

She said the Miss Pacific Islands quest will be held in Port Moresby with 12 Pacific Island counries vying for the title.

The 12 Pacific countries are — Nauru, Tonga, Marshall Islands, Tahiti, Cook Islands, American Samoa, Wallis and Futuna, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Tuvalu and host Papua New Guinea.

She said this would be one big opportunity for PNG to showcase its culture to the other Pacific Island countries.

Miss Kariha said preparations are underway.
