Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Malaki Apelu is scheduled to appear in court next month for a Disposition hearing, after he failed to comply with conditions of his 7-year probation term that was handed down 5 years ago.
According to Probation, Apelu was convicted for stealing and subsequently sentenced to a 7-year probation, subject to several conditions.
He is to serve 28 months detention, remain law abiding, visit Probation every month and remain alcohol and drug free.
At the beginning of this month, Apelu visited Probation where he tested positive for marijuana. Apelu admitted that he smoked marijuana three weeks prior.
In court this week, Apelu said he smoked weed with his friends during his son’s graduation party.
