Batch of tax refunds including ACTC — released Friday, May 17

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The ASG Treasury Department has announced that tax refunds, which include Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) funds will be released today, Friday, May 17th for taxpayers who filed between January 25- 29, 2019, according to a Treasury media release sent to Samoa News late yesterday afternoon.

The ACTC tax refund portion total is $870,857

Treasury released the second batch of tax refunds for tax year 2018 — locally funded only — on Wednesday this week. It also was for the filing period Jan. 25- 29, 2019. At the time Treasury said they were still awaiting the ACTC funds from the IRS, and therefore, tax refunds which include ACTC were on hold.
