FONO'S BOAT BREAKS IN HALF - NOBODY WAS HURT

The God is Great a.k.a. Fono fautasi, broke in half during the 2019 Flag Day Fautasi Race this past Saturday. The crew members — mostly kids from the east side — were all safe; and nobody was hurt. Later that day, local captains Mike Pulu and Rudy Su'a found one-half of the boat about 300 feet off the reef in Matu'u, in front of Aveina Store. It is now in the waters behind the Malaloa Marina.
