Samoa Observer names PM Tuilaepa their Person of the year

Apia, SAMOA — Tuilaepa Dr. Sa’ilele Malielegaoi is Samoa Observer’s Person of the Year for 2018. He is a man whose work speaks for itself. Whether we agree with him or not, it’s undeniable his service to Samoa as the Prime Minister for 20 years has made a tremendous difference in the lives of thousands of Samoans.

As the Leader, he has been at the helm of Government-led developments, which have transformed Samoa’s prospects, so that people’s lives are better and we continue to enjoy peace, freedom and political stability.

Tuilaepa was among many outstanding individuals recommended for this honour. The Samoa Observer Management and Staff discussed the recommendations and decided upon Tuilaepa.

Why? Well, why not? Having Tuilaepa as the Person of the Year, our additional "People of the Year" are also just some of the outstanding individuals and groups who have made a big difference.
