SSAB Pago celebrates three years of bringing educational resources to the territory

Tafuna, AS — SSAB Pago was established three years ago with the aim to occupy the gaps in the market in American Samoa at that time, particularly Samoan books and educational resources.

SSAB Pago currently has 10 employees.

 “The idea of setting up SSAB Pago originated from the “2 Samoa Trade fair” held in American Samoa in 2014 which I attended. I saw the demand and need to set up a store that sells a wide collection of Samoan books, educational books and other educational resources” says CEO and owner of SSAB, Tofilau Fiti Lafaele Leung Wai.

SSAB has since increased its product range since its establishment in response to demand from the public regarding products that were not available then. Today, SSAB Pago now sells many other products that are affordably priced to cater to everyone.

 “I always encourage our people to advise me and my staff on any product they want us to order like the beds. SSAB is now the trusted store for everyone to buy their quality beds from. Sleepwell is the brand of our beds and it is custom-built to cater for our people, it also comes with a three year warranty” says Managing Director of SSAB Pago, Jody Toleafoa.

In the 3 years SSAB has been in the territory, the company has had the opportunity to assist one of the prominent associations in American Samoa which annually executes their philanthropic fundraiser for certain beneficiaries in the community that need help.

The President of S.O.F.I.A.S, Ipi P.Ieli expressed gratitude and congratulatory remarks to SSAB’s CEO and management for the continuous support of S.O.F.I.A.S.

SSAB has also contributed immensely to a number of schools on island with their educational projects and reading programs as well as various church groups and organizations.

“As SSAB continues to grow, we will also continue to give back to the community but we certainly need the support from our people here in American Samoa” says Leung Wai.

Friday this week marks three years SSAB Pago has been in operation and the company is inviting everyone to join. In celebrating, SSAB has initiated crazy offers and huge discounts on selected products plus free food and drink that day for everyone.
