American Samoa Govt victim of another hack into bank account

It's been revealed the American Samoa government has again been the victim of a hacker.

In 2011 $US1.2 million dollars was transferred from an American Samoa government account to a Vietnamese Bank account.

It took years to recover the money.

KHJ News reports a second occurrence happened earlier this month.

Treasury officials have confirmed $US200,000 was wired from Treasury as a payment to an off island vendor providing services to the Department of Human and Social Services.

But the account the money was wired to belonged to a hacker, not the vendor.
