Vital Statistics Office resumes issuing ID Cards after brief hiatus

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Office of Vital Statistics (OVS) on Friday announced that it has resumed issuing ID Cards to the general public, effective immediately. This service had previously been suspended due to operational constraints, but no further information was available.

In the press release issued by local Homeland Security, Director Samana S. Ve’ave’a said, "We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience and understanding during this period."
