Temporary suspension of Office of Vital Statistics ID Card issuance

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Office of Vital Statistics (OVS) will be temporarily suspending the issuance of OVS ID Cards starting from September 6, 2023 until further notice. We are unable to continue the issuance of OVS ID Cards for the time being. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and are working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

What Does This Mean for You?

•           No New ID Cards: During this period, we will not be issuing any new OVS ID Cards.

•           Other Services: All other services provided by the Office of Vital Statistics, such as issuing birth and death certificates, will continue to operate as usual.

We will keep the community updated on any changes and will announce when normal operations for OVS ID Card issuance will resume.
