TBAS launches $10,000 prize promotion for debit MasterCard

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The government-owned Territorial Bank of American Samoa (TBAS) has launched a give-away in prizes worth $10,000 between now and December for customers who use their TBAS debt Mastercard.

The promotional program was launched Oct. 01 and runs through the end of the year on Dec. 31, rewarding customers who use TBAS debit MasterCard at local businesses and online shopping by giving away $10,000 worth of prizes, according to a TBAS statement.

“Our goal is to give back to our valued customers. We are increasing our customer base, and this is our way of saying thank you to them, said the bank’s chief executive officer, Dave Buehler, who also explained that the promotion will reward lucky customers every month until the end of the year. “There will be five weekly winners and three major items to be won.”

TBAS said the promotion is a way of encouraging customers to make payments with their debit MasterCard, however, ATM transactions do not qualify.

Each week in October, November, and December, five people will be chosen as winners of $50 shopping vouchers and swag bags. This means there would be 60 lucky winners spread across each month. In December, the bank will award three lucky winners.
