TBAS debit cards hit a glitch, no ATM or point of sale until Monday

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In a media statement today the Territorial Bank of American Samoa is notifying customers that their MasterCard debit card system is off line through Monday, April 22.

“Due to circumstances outside the control of TBAS, our MasterCard debit cards will be offline through Monday, April 22. This means TBAS customers will not be able to use TBAS debit cards for point of sale purchases or ATM transactions.”        

To accommodate and provide access to cash for their customers, the bank will be open on Saturday, April 20 from 9 am to 12 noon.

“We want to encourage all of our customers to come in to the bank on Saturday to make cash withdrawals to cover needs for this Easter weekend,” they said in the release.
