Foaga was used more than 500 years ago to sharpen stone tools, and it has been forgotten since the introduction of metal tools. These types of stone tools can be found everywhere in Samoa. This Foaga was recently found by National Park of American Samoa (NPAS) archaeologists. [photo: NPAS]
