Public school opening set for August 23

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The new school year - 2021-2022 — for public schools opens Aug. 23, according to the local Education Department, which has been holding training and other special sessions in the past weeks and continuing this week for educators, administrations and principals.

ASDOE schedule shows that New Teachers Induction Program is scheduled for Aug. 9 - 13 and then on Aug. 16th, all teachers return to work with students returning to school on Aug. 23rd.

ASDOE is also hosting the opening of the new school year with a church service on Aug. 15th at the CCCAS Kanana Fou Church starting at 3p.m.
