Over $1.5 million in tax refunds - batch #10 - released today

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Just over $1.5 million of tax refunds checks - Batch #10 - is scheduled to be released today, Friday, according to ASG Acting Treasurer, Keith Gebauer in a brief statement Wednesday afternoon.

Today’s total run of more than $1.59 million — with $758,782 for local and $838,225 for the Additional Child Tax Credit, which is funded by the US Internal Revenue Service — is for all tax filings from Mar. 27 to May 3rd, according to the statement.

To assist taxpayers with tracking refunds, the Treasury Department reminds tax filers to keep in mind their filing dates, as refund checks are disbursed accordingly. For questions or additional information, contact the Tax Office at 633-4181.
