WASHINTON — Once again, this December has been a busy stretch in Washington as Congress continues the rest of the appropriations work for 2024,” said Congresswoman Amata. “It was great news that on December 14th, we completed final passage of the NDAA, authorizing a well-deserved 5.2 percent pay raise for our men and women in the military. To each of our Toa o Samoa, and our military families, thank you! We’ll be thinking of those of you stationed away from home during the holidays.”
“This season is a celebration of joy, peace, and hope, but most of all, the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ,” she continued. “‘A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed,’ (Proverbs 11:25 NIV).
May we remember charity, and take special joy in our families, friends, and many blessings this year. God bless American Samoa, the United States, and all our homes this Christmas.”
