Marine Patrol rescues 4 teens from waters off Lauli’i

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Marine Patrol Division completed a successful and urgent rescue operation on Saturday afternoon in the treacherous waters off Lauli’i.

Four teenagers were unexpectedly swept out to sea by strong currents. At approximately 5 p.m., the Marine Patrol Division received a distress call detailing the situation.

Responding quickly, the dedicated team from the Marine Patrol Division was able to locate and safely rescue three girls and one boy from the hazardous waters.
