Local ANZ Bank is a qualified lender for loans under the CARES Act

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Congresswoman Aumua Amata and her Washington, D.C. office are assuring American Samoa businesses and individuals that ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank is a qualified lender for loans under the CARES Act.

When asked, Amata told Samoa News, “Yes ANZ is a qualified bank to process CARES Act loans.”

As further information her office sent the following:

Which kinds of lenders can process, close, disburse, and/or service PPP loans under the CARES Act?
Eligible lenders include:
—       SBA Qualified Lenders under section 7(a)
—    Insured depository institutions
—      Insured credit unions
—        Farm Credit System institutions
—     Additional lenders can make loans once approved and enrolled in the program

New lenders will need to submit their applications to [email protected] to apply with the SBA.
